Alan Shearer trolls Harry Kane with brilliant tweet after the Spurs striker wins goal appeal

Alan Shearer has took to Twitter to mock Harry Kane after he was dubiously awarded Spurs’ second goal on Saturday, claiming he’d have a few more to add to his 260-goal record if he appealed against every goal that he wasn’t given to him over his career!

As many of you will know, the Spurs striker claimed that he scored his sides second goal in their 2-1 win at Stoke on Saturday.

It was initially awarded to Eriksen (who appeared to score from a cross) by the Premier League goals accreditation panel, however Kane submitted an appeal, claiming it flicked his shoulder on the way in.

A shameless appeal in a bid to catch Liverpool’s Mo Salah for the league’s golden boot award, but one that he’s ended up winning (somehow!), with the decision now being reversed and the goal awarded to Kane.

He’s got his way, but it’s come at a cost on social media, with Alan Shearer mocking his decision to appeal in a bid to get that bit closer to his Premier League record:

Shearer wasn’t the only one to get involved either..

Looks at this from Gateshead FC!

  1. Say all you want Shearer. We know you’re ‘Shitting in your Pants’ that Kane is going to BREAK 😀 all your goal-scoring records. :

  2. “Somehow”?

The lad clearly scored the goal. I don’t understand the fuss. Seems like a nice person too. Good luck to him.

  3. In all the fuss about Kane’s ghost goal, nobody has realized that if he did indeed touch the ball, he was offside and the goal should not have stood, and it should have been a draw! The panel reviewing the goal should have seen that and not awarded it to him!
