Tottenham & Arsenal pushing to sign in-demand NUFC star this summer- another blow for Benitez

According to various reports, both Tottenham and Arsenal have now entered the race to sign in demand Chelsea loanee Kenedy – the Brazilian wide-man who looks less and less likely to sign permanently at Newcastle United this summer.

Sky Sports  reported earlier this week that PSG, Bayern Munich and ‘a number of Premier League sides’ were keeping a close eye on the 22-year-olds situation at Stamford Bridge, suggesting they’d be looking to buy if he was made available for sale this summer.

The Northern Echo claims Tottenham are one of these Premier League sides tracking the winger after keeping a ‘close eye’ on his impressive displays at Newcastle, whilst ESPN also revealing that Arsene Wenger is also an admirer.

His performances have been a joy to watch and he’s been an inspired signing to help secure our Premier League status, but it’s looking more and more like he could be out of our reach this summer, unfortunately.

It’s not known yet whether formal offers will actually arrive from these big clubs said to be circling for his summer signature, but we really would struggle to compete if they did up their interest.

Not only does the the calibre of competition to sign him seem extremely high, I’m not even convinced Chelsea (and their new boss for next season) would sell. An even if they would and Kenedy was keen to sign for us, would Ashley pay the price tag his signing would demand?

A lot of hopes, fears and questions but no answers for now. Let’s just enjoy him while he’s here and hope for the best!
