In an incredible move by the club, Everton have released a survey asking fans to rate Sam Allardyce’s performance on a scale of 0 to 10 – a move that won’t end well ahead of our trip to Goodison Park on Monday.
Although they sold Romelu Lukaku, Everton have spent a whopping £180m across the past two transfer windows, with many on Merseyside hoping they could make a push for the top 6 at the start of the season.
Big Sam came in for Ronald Koeman back in November, and whilst he helped ease any relegation fears, he’s not gone down well at all with Everton fans – and this ‘disastrous’ survey will only prove that.
Alan Stubbs on #efc survey story: "There is only going to be one answer & it is not going to be positive… I really feel sorry for Sam… I think it's disrespectful… It is a PR disaster…"

Why does this impact us you may wonder? Well, we don’t like Allardyce for starters, but beat Everton on Monday and we’ll leapfrog them and move up to 9th!
With Everton fans just hoping to get this season over and done with and Allardyce almost certain to be sacked and replaced this summer, this poorly timed ‘survey’ could play into our hands.
The atmosphere between Big Sam and Everton fans was already pretty frosty as it is (see clip from last Saturday below), so this could just tip things over the edge ahead of next week’s game.

It may leave an arrogant Allardyce unperturbed, but it could just give us an advantage next week.
Congrats to the new head coach of Fleetwood Town.
