Everton and Newcastle fans agree on one thing following last night’s game at Goodison Park

To say last night’s game was one to forget is an understatement, however both Everton and Newcastle fans took to Twitter after the game to share a common opinion – Sam Allardyce football matches are awful and the man is one arrogant and classless individual.

The game (like the one at St James’ in December) was an awful affair, but Big Sam somehow managed to make out that it was a game they ‘completely dominated’ (despite one shot on target), claiming they ‘out-passed’ us (despite them tending to go long) and looked like the only side going to win the game.

Now, given the lack of quality shown in both final thirds, it always felt like a game that was going to be decided by one moment, and it was their £20m man Theo Walcott who gave them that – but even Everton fans have admitted that it was an awful game to watch and another uninspiring display.

Here’s what Allardyce had to say post match, followed by reactions to the game (and his comments) from both Everton and Newcastle fans:

We may have been awful last night, but a part of me genuinely believes we were reduced to Big Sam’s level last night – and not for the first time this season.

It works (somehow) in terms of picking up points, but dear me, isn’t it awful to watch.
