According to German outlet BILD, Newcastle are one of several Premier League clubs eyeing a summer move for Niclas Fullkrug – the German striker who’s bagged 15 goals this season for Bundesliga side Hannover.
BLID claim Leicester, Watford, Fulham, Cardiff and Aston Villa are all tracking the 25-year-old, and claim he could be available for as little as £10m – a low fee in this day and age for a striker who’s hit double figures on his first full season in the German top flight.
After a bit-part role with Werder Bremen as a youngster, this season has been his first proper crack at the Bundesliga – and he’s impressed, with his tally of 15 goals making him the joint fourth top scorer in Germany this year.
The 25-year-old forward stands 6ft 2′ tall and has represented his country at youth level from U-18 up to U-20’s.
A new name to add to the pool of strikers Benitez could be considering this summer.
