Sky Sports’ Pete Graves has confirmed that it’s a ‘matter of time’ until Newcastle United announce the permanent signing of Martin Dubravka – easing any fears that a deal for the Slovakian was slipping through our fingers.
It was recently stated in the Chronicle that no decisions had been made on any potential permanent signings until Benitez’s immediate future was sorted out, however this appears to have changed now the Spaniard has committed to the club for at least another season.
Here’s what the Sky presenter had to say on Twitter after being asked by a fan to provide an update on the deal:
“Led to believe it’s just a matter of time until NUFC seal Dubravka on a permanent.
“Both sides keen to complete the deal.”

Given his outstanding form since January and the rumoured option to buy for just £4m, this never seemed like a deal we were going to pass up on, however it’s reassuring to hear that it’s just a ‘matter of time’ before the club announce his signing.
Hopefully the first of many good signing this summer!
Here’s a compilation of some of his best moments for NUFC since arriving from Sparta Prague in January:
Great news what a difference he makes to the side would like a solid striker next n were on the right path of course it won’t be that simple though, but either way we back the team.
