BREAKING: Newcastle set for brutal start to 2018/19 as Premier League fixtures are announced

The fixtures for the 2018/19 Premier League season have been announced, confirming that we’ll face Spurs at St James’ Park once again on the opening day – with this set to be our first of several tough games in the first month of the new season.

It’s looking like a VERY tough start for us, with us due to play FIVE of last season’s top six in the first eight games – with Spurs (H) followed by Cardiff (A), Chelsea (H), Man City (A) and Arsenal (H) – Including Man Utd (A) a few weeks later.

Here’s a run down of our entire fixture list for the upcoming season following this morning’s big announcement:

Away to Liverpool on Boxing Day and at home to Man Utd on New Years Day make it interesting. Our run-in is generous but you’d expect that when you see how tough our first few months are.

Is this a worry or is it good to get the big guns out the way before they get into full flow?

One thing is for sure – this should send a pretty clear warning to Mike Ashley that the need for new signing is now great. We could get torn apart in the first few weeks if we’re not ready.

Thoughts??
