NUFC’s official sponsors FUN88 have taken yet another swipe at Sunderland – questioning whether Uruguay’s World Cup tie against Egypt was held at the Stadium of Light this afternoon after seeing all the empty seats!
Our neighbours down the road have had a difficult time of it lately after back to back relegations, but it doesn’t look like our sponsors have much sympathy, with this being one of several amusing digs shared by our sponsors.

They’re no doubt doing it to get the Toon Army on their side, but I must say that FUN88’s social media team have played it pretty well since becoming our sponsors.
Newcastle fans are loving it – and rightly so. We haven’t forgotten how they mocked us when we went down just two years ago.
