According to Turkish newspaper Fanatik, Egyptian international Trezeguet will hold talks with Newcastle over the next 10 days before making a decision on his future this summer.
The story states that the 23-year-old has a €5m release clause in his contract at Turkish side Kasimpasa, with Aston Villa and Galatasaray believed to have both shown interest – and it’s no surprise at just £4.5m.
He played in each of Egypt’s three group games in Russia this month but was unable to get on the scoresheet, however he has just come off the back of an impressive season in Turkey, bagging 16 goals and 8 assists from the wing.
As always, it’s best to take these things with a pinch of salt (something I’m sure you’ve all learnt to do this summer after so many rumours and so little action), especially coming from these Turkish outlets that haven’t got much right when it’s come to transfer stories so far.
Just incase this one ends up having some truth in it, here’s him in action:
Looks like scraping the barrel again. Why have one Joselu when you can have two.
