Newcastle finally look set to add highly rated Swiss striker Yannick Toure to their ranks this summer, with the BSC Young Boys striker pictured at Newcastle airport yesterday ahead of his move to Tyneside.
The 17-year-old striker is rated as one of the brightest young talents in his country and seems to be someone we’ve had ready to sign for quite a few months now.
It was reported in May that an agreement had been reached, and it seems he’s now arrived in the North-East to finalise that move – with him set to go into our U-23 set up upon arrival.
He has recently represented Switzerland at U-18 – and scored two on his debut – and had also enjoyed an impressive spell in Young Boys’ youth sides, with 24 goals in 25 games at U-18 level and 7 goals in 14 games at U-21 level – which is impressive given he’s only 17.
With several U-23 players having already been released this summer, Rafa seems keen to bring some fresh and exciting young talent to the club and in Yannick Toure it feels like we’ve got exactly that.

Seems about right that we spell his name wrong when welcoming him
