Good and bad news emerges on NUFC’s attempt to sign Kenedy from Chelsea

There’s some good and bad news being reported today when it comes to Newcastle’s latest attempts to bring Kenedy back to the club this summer.

The Chronicle claim that Newcastle have now been quoted a fee of £30m to sign him on a permanent deal, however the Evening Standard are suggesting a deal looks far more realistic.

They state that Chelsea are ‘open to negotiations’ and in talks over a deal which could mean a loan with an option to buy for in excess of £20m.

Claims that he could cost £30m are worrying – with it being an inflated fee Mike Ashley seems so unlikely to pay – but talk of a loan with an option to buy for little over £20m seems far more doable.

How much do you think Kenedy’s worth? Is £30m the going rate for a player of his potential or would you look elsewhere if that was his price tag?
