Some surprising news has emerged in the last few moments, with it being confirmed that ex-NUFC midfielder Yohan Cabaye has completed a move to Saudia Arabian side Al-Nassr FC.
His contract was set to expire at Crystal Palace this summer and Roy Hodgson was pushing to secure him on a new contract, but he has instead decided to move elsewhere – and his club of choice is dubious to say the least.
The 32-year-old former France international was a regular starter for Palace last season and, despite him not reaching the levels he found at Newcastle, he still looked good enough to play at Premier League level.

Perhaps he’s chasing one final pay day before he calls time on his career.
Either way, this is a very strange move for a man who surely had another year or two in him at the highest level?
Why’s this transfer strange?
It’s clearly obvious he’s went there for his hey-day payment.
He wouldn’t go there for peanuts, so I’m amsuming he’ll get huge wages out-there??!!

He rarely completed 90 minutes this season. Most Palace fans will be very sad to see him go but maybe this is better than dwindling away – he has too much class for that

Nothing strange about this at all…
