Former Newcastle United defender Massaido Haidara has completed a move back to France today, joining Ligue 2 side RC Lens after being released by the club this summer.
The 25-year-old spent five and a half years on Tyneside after signing from Nancy in January 2013, however he went on to make just 54 appearances during that time.
His career in England has been blighted by injuries, highlighted by the fact he played just five times during Rafa Benitez’s two full seasons at the club.

It was the right decision for all parties to let him go and hopefully he can now rebuild his career after completing a move to the French second tier.
He’s arrived at Lens on a free following his release and has signed a three-year deal with the Ligue 2 side who finished 14th last season.
Good luck to him. Hopefully he can stay injury free and get his career back on track in his homeland.
