NUFC release stunning away kit for 2018/19 – and it’s one of the best we’ve ever seen!

Newcastle United have released our new away kit for the 2018/19 season – and it’s absolutely stunning.

There’s been several leaks online suggesting the new kit could be modelled on the popular shirt used in the 1995/96 season and it seems those rumours were true after all.

Here it is!

For me, this is without doubt one of the best kits I’ve seen us release. Absolutely stunning.

Here’s a snippet from NUFC.co.uk following it’s release:

Newcastle United have revealed the club’s stunning new PUMA away kit for the 2018/19 season.

Launched under #TheFabricOfNewcastle banner, the kit is a contemporary take on the Magpies’ iconic change strip worn during the 1995/96 season.

Featuring maroon and blue hoops, ivory shorts and maroon socks with a blue trim, the kit is complemented by a gold club crest and gold FUN88 branding.

For the first time, the players’ kit will also incorporate PUMA’s evoKNIT technology.

On the reverse, the kits will feature names and numbers in white.

The kit was revealed on Monday in a specially-commissioned ‘fabric’ illustration with several city landmarks as a backdrop, including the Tyne Bridge, St. James’ Park and the stadium’s Sir Bobby Robson statue.

A number of former players who wore the original kit – David Ginola, Warren Barton and Les Ferdinand – also feature, while there’s a special nod to the late Pavel Srníček, who was part of the Entertainers squad.

As confirmed on the club’s official website, this kit will be available at the stadium store and at nufcdirect.com from 3rd August – so you’ll have to wait a few weeks yet before you can get your hands on it.
