  • According to Sky Sports, Newcastle are now close to re-signing Kenedy on a season-long loan after ‘positive’ talks with Chelsea – also claiming that Rafa Benitez is now ‘open’ to selling Matt Ritchie to fund a move for Andros Townsend – Full story here. 
  • Lee Ryder has confirmed that NUFC made bids for BOTH Alassane Plea and Salomon Rondon last week – admitting that there’s a ‘good chance’ we’ll confirm another signing by the time we return from this week’s training camp in Ireland – Full story here.
