According to Graeme Bailey, Kenedy may not be the last Chelsea player to join Newcastle United this summer’ – making NUFC fans wonder if Benitez has another deal lined up with his former employers at Stamford Bridge.
With Kenedy in on a season-long loan, we will NOT be able to sign another player on loan from Chelsea (due to Premier League rules), however it sounds like Rafa may be eyeing up a permanent deal for an unknown player at his former club.
Here’s what Graeme Bailey’s had to say following news of Kenedy’s loan move, dropping a big hint that we could yet see another Chelsea player arrive at NUFC this summer:

So, with us unable to loan another player from Chelsea, who could this be?
Firstly, we can rule out Loftus Cheek. A loan move for him has been mooted for a number of weeks now, with Rafa clearly a big fan, but that is no longer possible following Kenedy’s arrival – and there’s no way we could pull off a permanent deal.
The most likely candidates for me are Tammy Abraham, Danny Drinkwater and Kurt Zouma. All three aren’t in Chelsea’s first-team plans and Benitez has been linked with moves for Abraham and Zouma in the past – albeit on loan.
There’s Willy Caballero too – a player Rafa tried and failed to sign last summer – although his World Cup performances may have off put the Spaniard!
The likes of Michy Batshuayi, David Luiz and Ross Barkley are players I’m sure Rafa would love at Newcastle, but all seem overly ambitious and too expensive – unless Mike Ashley is suddenly open to smashing our £17m transfer record!

Can you tell me if i’m Right here or going mental. It has been said that Rafa was to be given between 40 & 50 mil to spend, plus whatever he raises from player sales. I’m pretty sure that bit is right. So, Mitrovic 20, Mbemba 6-8, merino 10, possibly Ritchie 15+, plus fringe players and anyone i’ve forgotten that is roughly another 50 mil plus. We’ve forked out next to nothing so far, so surely that means Rafa should still have in the region of 100 mil to spend. Why are we putting in stupid offers for players below their buy out clauses and shopping for at best average players if that’s what is available to spent.
I know, i’m Going mental.

Please God not Tammy Abraham he was awful for Swansea I don’t see why the hype about him. Mitro better striker has more strength and a lot better in the air. I quite like that batshuyai seems a good player and will come on excellently under Rafa guidance if he comes (IF).
