A round up of all of today’s news & transfer gossip:

  •  Rafa Benitez has admitted that he is working on a limited budget and may be forced to sell before he can buy – revealing that he’s being forced to ‘wheel and deal’ once again this summer – Full story here. 
  • Sky have confirmed that Newcastle have now approached West Brom to bring Salomon Rondon to St James’ Park – however they claim that we’ll only agree to meet his £16m release clause if and when Aleksandar Mitrovic is sold – Full story here.
  • Newcastle United have released the third kit for the upcoming 2018/19 season – See it here. 
  • During an interview with Sky Sports’ Keith Downie this morning, Rafa Benitez has admitted that a new striker arrival is a matter of ‘when – and not if’ this summer – suggesting a deal may be imminent – Full story here. 
  • Rafa Benitez has admitted that he’s hoping to keep both Matt Ritchie and Isaac Hayden at the club this summer – despite both being strongly linked with moves away from Newcastle United – Full story here.

  • According to an exclusive from TEAMtalk last night, Newcastle are set to tie up a deal for Salomon Rondon over the ‘next week’ – paying a £4m loan fee with an option to buy – a sign that Rafa’s budget is even less lower than we thought? – Full story here.
  • According to reports in Portugal today, Chancel Mbemba has already undergone a medical and agrees terms with Porto – however the deal could yet collapse with Newcastle refusing to budget on their £8m asking price – Full story here. 
  • The club have announced that all four of NUFC’s away pre-season friendlies will be shown live in the UK on NUFC TV – however it will cost fans £4.95 to stream games against St Patrick’s Athletic, Hull, Porto and Braga  – Full story here.
