Newcastle in discussions to sign Croatian international on loan – Report

According to the Daily Mail, Newcastle are in discussions over a potential loan move for Everton winger Nikola Vlasic.

The Croatian international struggled for game time at Goodison Park last season, playing just 12 times in the Premier League following his £10m move to England.

He did pacey winger impress when handed a chance in the Europa League, however, bagging two goals and an assist across six appearances in Europe for the Toffees.

From the Everton fans I’ve spoken to, he’s a player they like and have high hopes for – with him still being just 20 – so a loan move may make sense for all parties.

That being said, it’s frustrating to hear that we’re resorting to loan deals once again, especially for players who are yet to make an impact at Premier League level. He looks a talent, but he’s hardly proven.
