A fan-led movement has emerged on social media following news of Rafa Benitez’s increasing frustrations – with ‘If Rafa Goes We Go’ now urging fans to boycott Mike Ashley’s NUFC if he forces the Spaniard out of St James’ Park next summer.
The account has almost 5,000 followers just hours after being formed and is going from strength to strength as we speak, with NUFC fans coming together to make sure Mike Ashley does not win in this battle Rafa Benitez – a manager our club can not afford to lose.
This new protest group – ‘@IfRafaGoesWeGo‘ – was formed on Thursday night in light of this week’s devastating revelations from Rafa Benitez – who’s admitted that the club must ‘wheel and deal’ in the transfer market and effectively sell before he can buy.
It’s yet another summer where he was promised it would be different and further proof that Mike Ashley is slowly killing OUR club – with it’s final breath likely to be the moment Benitez walks out once his contract expires next summer.
Newcastle fans are not prepared to stand by and watch us fall and, as a result, a fan-led movement has been formed to take a stand, with @IfRafaGoesWeGo now emerging with a major campaign against Mike Ashley – and the response to it on Twitter has been HUGE.

This was meant to be the summer of change, but instead it’s feeling more and more like Benitez’s long goodbye – with Mike Ashley continuing to show absolutely no intention of matching Rafa’s big ambitions for the club.

I went on all the anti Ashley marches – about 3-400 max.
