Some breaking news from Sky’s Keith Downie in the last few moments, who confirms that we have now agreed a £9.5m fee to sign Mainz striker Yoshinori Muto.
As revealed by the North-East’s correspondent for Sky, Muto is now on a flight to Newcastle and is expected to complete a move to St James’ Park providing his work permit is accepted.

The striker has scored 20 goals and bagged 10 assists across his 66 appearances in Bundesliga so far, with the 26-year-old having signed for Mainz three years ago after impressing in Japan with Tokyo FC.
He was also part of the Japan squad that made it to the last 16 of the World Cup, having played 25 times for his country.
