Aleksandar Mitrovic completes Fulham move – Big fee confirmed – Read his first interview here

Some breaking news in the last few moments, with it being confirmed that Aleksandar Mitrovic has now completed his move to Fulham – signing a FIVE-year deal which ends his three year stint at St James’ Park once and for all.

It was reported on Saturday night that Fulham had agreed a £22m deal for the striker (which could rise to £27m with add ons according to Sky) and he’s since had his medical and put pen to paper this afternoon.

With 12 goals at Craven Cottage between January and May, they were always going to be in for him this summer and they’ve now got their man.

Here’s what he’s had to say since making the move official:

“I’m very glad and happy and proud to finally be here and officially become a Fulham player.

“I’m happy to the moon and back. I have love for the fans. They’re amazing fans and I have a really good connection with them.”

“This is a big club and last year we made history, we did big things, and I want to continue this.

“We want to keep making big things, and with all the fans behind us I think we can go far.”

Here’s what their Owner Tony Khan has had to say after they made it official in the last few moments:

I’m delighted to announce that Aleksandar Mitrovic is back where he belongs at Fulham!

“We’ve reached an agreement to bring Mitro home! We’ve always wanted him on a permanent; I told him that after the final at Wembley, & I’m thrilled to make it official today.

“Come on Fulham!”

Newcastle United have also confirmed his departure, wishing him all the best for the future:

Good luck Mitro.
