  • According to The Chronicle, Rafa Benitez has now made it ‘crystal clear’ to the Newcastle United board that he wants FOUR new signings in before next Thursday’s deadline – a striker, a number 10, a left-back an a centre-back – Full story here.
  • Despite being suspended since January following accusations of racism and bullying, an exclusive from The Mirror claims Newcastle United look set to stand by Peter Beardsley and bring him back to the club’s academy this season – Full story here.  
  • According to ESPN, Newcastle are now interested in a deal to sign West Brom centre-back Ahmed Hegazi – however we’re set to face competition from Brighton for the Egyptian international – Full story here. 
  • Newcastle HAVE been offered the chance to sign Thiago Maia according to The Chronicle’s Mark Douglas – but it looks like Rafa Benitez has turned down the chance to sign the 21-year old Brazilian from a cash-strapped Lille – Full story here.
