Despite shining in PSG’s first-team over the weekend, Sky Sports’ Keith Downie claims that Newcastle still have a ‘chance’ of securing the signing of highly-rated left-back Stanley N’Soki.
Downie also confirms that a deal for Rondon should be completed on Monday, with the Venezuelan already on Tyneside having completed his medical at the club over the weekend.
Back to N’Soki and the 19-year old started for PSG in their French Super Cup win over Monaco on Saturday, not only bagging two assists but being awarded man of the match – something which many feared would end our chances of bringing him to St James’ Park.
It seems all hope is not dead, however, with Sky’s Keith Downie stating that he is a legitimate target and someone we’re still in with a shout of signing after being questioned by a NUFC fan on Twitter:
Yeah. Believe there’s still a chance of that one. https://t.co/XFn2Cfpk6h

Salomon Rondon should complete his season-long loan to Newcastle tomorrow after taking his medical today.

Good news on Rondon and positive to hear regarding our hopes of signing N’Soki.
Given how well he played for PSG on Saturday, many feared they’d either opt against selling him or price us out of a move following his outstanding performance against Monaco. Here’s one of his stunning assists:
Stanley N'Soki with some brilliant wing play before setting up Timothy Weah for PSG's third. This was his second assist as well! Andrea Raggi doing himself no favors there. pic.twitter.com/IsMujUmXNT

It was reported in France over the weekend that we’d offered £6.2m ‘plus bonuses’ for the French U-20, but it remains to be seen as to how much they’ll now demand for the defender.
Fingers crossed on this one folks. He looks a top talent!
