After weeks and weeks of ‘talks’ it’s finally official – Salomon Rondon has completed a loan move to Newcastle United, with Dwight Gayle going to other way in part of a ‘swap deal’ with West Brom.
Sky Sports confirmed earlier this afternoon that Dwight Gayle’s loan move to West Brom had gone through, but both deals have no been made official – and it looks like Rondon has taken the famous number 9 jersey immediately.

Rondon has had the following to say since making the move official in the last few moments:
“It’s an honour to be here and I’m excited to get started with my team mates.
“The clubs were talking for a long time and now I’m focused on the season to help my team mates to get the points to do well this season.”
