According to Bleacher Report’s Dean Jones, Newcastle are ‘hopeful’ of agreeing a deadline day deal for Liverpool striker Danny Ings – however he claims that it is ‘getting complicated’.
Our interest in Ings has been made clear over the past few windows, with Benitez appearing to have made several attempts to sign him on loan.
He clearly wants out of Liverpool in a bid to finally find some regular first-team football, but the problem we have is that a loan move does not appear to be possible – with us having already used up our two domestic loans in Kenedy and Rondon.
Here’s what Dean Jones has had to say this morning, confirming that we’re ‘hopeful’ of reaching an agreement with Liverpool – but also admitting that it’s now ‘getting complicated’.
Really hope Danny Ings gets a move today. Newcastle have been hopeful of a deal, but it's getting complicated

With Liverpool set to be demanding £15-£20m for Ings and a loan deal seemingly out of the question, I’m not quite sure how this one works.
We shall see, but I’m not holding my breath on this one!
Another report from the rumour mill. Great if it happened but it won’t.

Nothing complicated it isn’t going to happen. We are never going to spend £20 million on a player never mind an injury prone player. Let’s be honest has he done anything to warrant a fee like that.
