Newcastle United have confirmed in the last few moments that Ivan Toney has now left the club on a permanent deal, sealing a move to League One side Peterborough.
He’s now signed on a three-year deal, with Peterborough’s owner confirming that he’s arrived after they agreed to pay Newcastle a ‘substantial six-figure’ fee.
Welcome to @theposhofficial Mr Ivan Toney from @NUFC on 3 year deal for substantial 6 figure deal ??

Toney made just four appearances for Newcastle and had been loaned out SIX times in just three years at the club.
His exit had been on the cards all summer, with him failing to be included in any of Rafa Benitez’s training camps or first-team squads.
Good luck to @ivantoney24, who has completed a permanent move to @theposhofficial.

A deal that will suit all parties, with him not clearly not in Benitez’s plans.
Now for some much needed signings!
