According to Lee Ryder, Rolando Aarons is the man most likely to leave Newcastle United today – whilst Jamie Sterry and Cal Roberts could also be loaned out providing clubs come in for them which would guarantee them regular game time.
The Chronicle reporter also claims there’s no offers on the table for young goalkeeper Freddie Woodman, meaning he could end up staying with the club for the first half of the season.
Considering he’s just been called up to the England U-21 squad, it would be a real waste to see him spend the next few months playing for our U-23’s – something that’s going to limit his development given he’s more than capable of playing at senior level.
Rolando Aarons the most likely to leave #nufc on loan deadline day. Clubs need to be right for Sterry and Roberts re game-time assurances. Nothing on the table so far for Freddie Woodman meaning he could stay for first half of season. Should be more info at Press conference later

Rangers, Caen, Hull City and AEK Athens have all been linked with loan moves for Aarons, so it will be interesting to see if he secures a much needed move away today.
One deal has already been completed, with talented U-23 midfielder Dan Barlaser joining League One side Accrington Stanley on a six-month loan deal:
