Newcastle United loanee Dwight Gayle has been back in the goal over the weekend for West Brom, scoring brilliantly during their 2-1 win over Stoke on Saturday.
Since securing a ‘loan swap’ to the Hawthorns (which saw Salomon Rondon go the other way), Dwight has 3 goals and 3 assists in just 5 Championship appearances for the Baggies so far.
In a battle of the two recently relegated sides, he scored twice over the weekend during a win over Stoke – and his opening goal was absolutely brilliant.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m quite happy that we swapped him for Salomon Rondon – a player I feel suits our system and the Premier League much better than Gayle – however I must admit that he would’ve still been a useful option to have.
Do you regret letting him leave or do you feel the Championship is simply his level?
The Championship is clearly his level. There’s been more than enough evidence to back that statement up.
