As confirmed by the club in the last few moments, Rolando Aarons has no completed a loan move away from Newcastle – joining Czech Republic side Slovan Liberec until January.
After failing to be given a squad number and missing out on a place in Rafa Benitez’s 25-man squad for the 2018/19 Premier League season, the likes of Hull, Rangers and French side Caen were linked with loan moves – but nothing materialised before last week’s deadline.
He was tipped to join an unnamed Bulgarian side earlier in the week, however he’s now secured a move to the Czech Republic with Slovan Liberec instead.
Překvapivá posila do ofenzivy přichází z @NUFC: @RolandoAarons

Slovan Liberec are currently eighth in the Czech top flight – a club our very own Martin Dubravka used to play for before his move to Sparta Prague.
One of the most bizarre moves in recent NUFC transfer history? I’m baffled no Championship clubs came calling over the summer..
