The exciting NUFC side that looks set to face Arsenal next Saturday – Three changes – Two return

The international break is often a frustrating week for football fans up and down the country, but this one may have just come at the perfect time for us – allowing a few to recover from injury, improve their fitness and settle into the club after summer moves.

For example, both Jonjo Shelvey and Matt Ritchie appear to be progressing well in training, with it sounding like both will be available next weekend based on Rafa’s comments yesterday.

With this in mind, it looks like we may well be in a position to field our strongest team of the season so far when Arsenal come to town next Saturday.

Here’s the team I expect us to start, providing both Shelvey and Ritchie are passed fit and no players come back with injuries from international duty:

Aside from the exclusion of Florian Lejeune (who continues to recover from a serious knee injury), I’d argue that this is our strongest possible XI?

Not only will it be great to have Shelvey and Ritchie back, it will be great to see us go back to slightly more attacking 4-2-3-1 set up.

Rafa surely won’t go with 5 at the back again?
