Lascelles all but confirmed it did take place but reiterated this is normal on a training pitch and good thing, showing the competitive nature of United’s squad.

“It’s nothing personal…if you can’t deal with that on the training field you are in the wrong sport.
“We get after each other…We have to work hard and it starts on the training pitch and we always shake hands after.”
Lascelles character has been a key reason as to why we have bounced back up and stayed there – he doesn’t accept others not pulling their weight.
He may have been out of line if Rafa dropped him for it, but all seems forgiven and we would much rather have players that care than the talented quads we have had had in the past that have been relegated with a whimper.
This attitude was key to our top half finish last season and let’s hope we can beat Arsenal next time out to get our season up and running.
