The Magpie Group sends strong message to NUFC fans after fresh Mike Ashley twist is reported

by Olly Hawkins ·

The Magpie Group have urged Newcastle fans to 'keep the pressure on' Mike Ashley - with them having 'no reason to believe' claims today that the NUFC owner has reduced his asking price to £300m.

The group have led recent protests outside St James' Park and Northumberland Street's Sports Direct and, although some fans feel today's 'news' indicates that Ashley may have finally buckled, The Magpie Group have insisted that we must continue to tighten the screw.

Here'a what they've said on Twitter today after the Shields Gazette's story claiming that Ashley has now reduced his asking price to around £300m to secure a quick sale.

The same message has been sent out by fellow NUFC group 'If Rafa Goes We Go", suggesting that today's news is nothing we haven't seen before by Ashley, inviting fans to put even more pressure on to build on the protests so far:
