Alan Shearer has taken to Twitter to post nothing but laughing faces in response to news that Mike Ashley will take the entire NUFC squad on holiday if we stay up.
It’s an apt reaction, with many finding Mike Ashley’s latest PR stunt a laughable attempt to ‘build bridges’ after neglecting the club all summer, however this is just further proof that we are becoming a laughing stock under his ownership unfortunately.
This comes following his meal with Benitez, his staff and the first-team squad last night – with Shearer posting the following reaction to Craig Hope’s big reveal from Wednesday night’s meeting:

Ashley may well pay for their pizza and a holiday should we stay up, but it’s all a case of too little too late.
Benitez doesn’t need his pasta paid for and the players don’t need free holiday’s – we need a club that’s run professionally and an owner that shows ambition.

Perfectly said Olly, the manager needs to be respected, the players, the fans, the entire community need to be respected and treated with honest decency.
Ashley has no respect, and is a lying bully.
This is a shameless attempt at a PR stunt that has backfired – showing up just how bad he has been for so long and how pathetic he is. There is no up-side to a future with Ashley.

You’d hope, as a professional footballer keeping your team in the Prem against all odds that you’d get maybe half a million or something like that. But nope, as a Newcastle United player you get taken on a holiday thats probably worth less than a few days salary. And with all your team mates.
