A spokesman has released a statement on Mike Ashley’s behalf after the NUFC owner was pictured putting two fingers up at fans last night, with him strongly denying the ‘V sign’ – claiming that he is ‘actually very respectful’ towards supporters.
Before we pick it apart, here’s what a ‘spokesman’ has said today on Ashley’s behalf after footage emerged following last night’s meal:
‘Mike did not give a V sign to fans.
“It is obvious from the accompanying photos that he is smiling and enjoying the evening.
“Anybody who saw Match of the Day at the weekend will also be aware that Mike is actually very respectful in his reactions to fans.’
Firstly, there is clear proof of his gesture – and it’s clearly not him scratching his ear.
Yes he was put in a very hostile and uncomfortable position, but this is what happens when you constantly lie, deceive and neglect fans who spend their good money and put their heart and soul into a club he couldn’t care less about.
Secondly, how dare he come out and defend how Ashley conducted himself during last Saturday’s defeat at St James’ Park.
The man literally laughed in the face of fans clearly upset about the current situation at the club – yet this is him being ‘very respectful in his reaction to fans’ apparently.
A pathetic statement defending a truly pathetic man who hinds behind a web of lies.
Dont care anymore not going back rafa.on mils players on fortunes do you think money or club comes first all up ashs ****
