After the recent release of his new book ‘My Life in Football’, Kevin Keegan has told a Newcastle fan ‘I’ll be back one day’ when speaking after one of his book signings this week.
It’s an exciting prospect, but one we must hold onto until Mike Ashley’s days are finally done on Tyneside – with King Kev unlikely to step foot inside St James’ Park for as long as he remains in charge.
Given his legendary status in Newcastle, this shows just what a brilliant job Ashley has done of burning bridges with some of the regions most loved and admired figures (with Alan Shearer falling into a similar category.
As revealed by Newcastle fan Jonathan Comyn, here’s what Keegan said to him as he met him in during his book signing on Thursday afternoon:
“Don’t worry, be patient, stick with it.
“I’ll be back one day.”

Keegan is Keegan what you see is what you get. He had time for everyone, much to my annoyance add I’d only got half away down the queue in 2 hours. Theres only one Kevin Keegan!!!!

I’d be astounded and delighted if it were proved to be true. KK was as important to me as another Yorkshire lad – Joe Harvey.
