As confirmed by ‘Scouts in Attendance’, Newcastle United had club officials present to watch Bordeaux star Francois Kamano in action in the Europa League last week.
We were linked with a move for the Guinean international at the back end of September, but it’s emerged that NUFC scouts WERE at Bordeaux’s Europa League defeat to Copenhagen last Thursday.

Despite missing a penalty on the night of the game we watched him in, the 22-year-old has enjoyed a stunning start to the new Ligue 1 season.
He’s scored 7 goals in 9 league games, bagged two goals and two assists in Europa League qualifiers and has been at it again over the weekend, scoring two in Bordeaux’s 3-0 win over Nantes on Sunday – taking them up to 7th in Ligue 1.
Kamano is predominantly a left-winger but has also operated on the right-hand side.
One to watch ahead of the January transfer window perhaps..
