Championship club register an interest in signing NUFC winger – Report

According to The Chronicle, Blackburn are now interested in signing talented Newcastle United winger Adam Wilson.

As confirmed in Lee Ryder’s latest piece, Rovers boss Tony Mowbray even took a trip up to the north-east to watch Wilson in U-23 action last season, however he’s a player we’ll have no interest in letting go.

Not only has the 18-year old recently broke into England’s U-18 squad, he’s signed a new long-term contract with the summer and has started the new season in impressive form – scoring one and assisting two in seven games so far.

Whilst we’ve rarely seen young prospects break into the senior side for several years now, it feels like there’s quite a few exciting talents on our hands at the moment.

The likes of Callum Roberts, Victor Fernandez, Elias Sorensen, Freddie Woodman, Sean Longstaff, Mo Sangare and Adam Wilson all seem like players who’ve got every chance of making it – with some already getting their chance to impress Rafa over pre-season and in the cups.

Let’s hope we can keep a hold of them all and see them threaten the first-team in the years to come.

It would make a nice change!
