Sam Allardyce embarrasses himself once again – Unbelievable stuff from the ex-NUFC boss

Sam Allardyce has been involved in what some are calling one of the most ridiculous pieces of punditry we’ve seen this year, with the ex-NUFC boss claiming that Sergio Busquets is ‘no better’ than Eric Dier following England’s win over Spain.

Considering Big Sam’s one of the most arrogant and self-assured blokes in football, he’s doing a brilliant job of shooting himself in the foot at the moment – and I can’t lie, I’m quite enjoying it.

Credit to Dier, he’s done a very good job recently for England, but to start suggesting he’s suddenly as good as Sergio Busquets (a player who’s been one of THE best in the world in his position for years now) is taking it a little too far.

Here’s what he said when speaking to talkSPORT after England’s 3-2 win over Spain on Monday night:

“Busquets is no better than Dier..

“Dier does a similar job to Busquets but he gets a lot of criticism for it!”

This is perhaps why our national team struggles to kick on at times. Someone has a few good games and there’s always so many who’ll get carried away and way ahead of themselves.

That being said, maybe Allardyce has now joined in with the talkSPORT way of life, making over the top and controversial claims just to ‘get people talking’.

  1. “This is perhaps why our national team struggles to kick on at times. Someone has a few good games and there’s always so many who’ll get carried away and way ahead of themselves.”

As opposed to the EPL where they have ONE game and thousands of fans get carried away.
