NUFC appear to have sent scouts to watch in-form Bordeaux winger Francois Kamano once again over the weekend – with club officials spotted at their 0-1 defeat against Nice on Sunday.
Our interest in Kamano was initially reported in September, with Scouts in Attendance then confirming earlier this month that we’d sent scouts to watch the 22-year-old attacker during Bordeaux’s 2-1 defeat to Copenhagen in the Europa League.
He missed a penalty in that game, however he’s been in brilliant form so far this season, scoring 7 goals in 11 games for the Ligue 1 side.

As mentioned above, scouts from Chelsea, Wolves, Leicester City, Everton, Sevilla, Atletico Madrid, Villarreal and Roma were the other clubs present during Bordeaux’s game with Nice, with it appearing as though Newcastle’s scouts were there to check up on Kamano once again.
With The Chronicle recently reporting that Rafa wants a ‘winger with pace’ in January, along with Ashley’s preference to sign young players with potential, a move for the in-form 22-year-old could be on the cards – especially now we’ve sent scouts to watch him on a number of occasions.
The question is – is an unproven player performing well in the French league really what we need? Surely we’ve learnt from our mistakes?
Kamano is predominantly a left-winger but has also operated on the right-hand side.
If Thierry Henry does end up taking the Bordeaux job…
He'll be liking what he's seen from Francois Kamano ?
