Bad news for Rolando Aarons as things go from bad to worse – It’s not looking good..

If it wasn’t bad enough that he had to secure a desperate loan move to the Slovan Liberec for some much needed game time, it’s now emerged that Rolando Aarons has been dropped by the Czech side – with him starting on the bench in recent weeks.

With him not part of Rafa’s pre-season plans and no English side taking the NUFC winger on loan over the summer, he had to search far and wide for a temporary move away from Tyneside, and he finally found one in September – moving to Slovan Liberec on a 6-month deal.

Since then, he’s started the opening three games at his new club in the Czech league, however he doesn’t seem to have impressed – with him being dropped to the bench and limited to late cameo appearances as a substitute over the last month:

He has talent and so little luck, with injuries playing a big part, but it’s worrying to see that he’s now struggling to make an immediate impact in such a poor division.

There’s more to football than stats, but no goals or assists and being dropped after three games is far from ideal when he will have been hoping to have made a big impact at a level he should be excelling in.

The former England U-21 international showed so much early promise at Newcastle, with it seeming like a matter of time until he broke into our starting 11 at one stage, however injuries, a lack of progression and a lack of luck have really scuppered his career so far.
