After allowing a few days for the emotions of Saturday’s 1-0 win over Watford to die down, we’ve asked fans on Twitter whether they think we’ll stay up this season – and the results are quite incredible, with 75% of 600 voters now backing us to beat the drop.
Just a week ago (when we were 2nd bottom and STILL awaiting our first win) you’d have done pretty well to find many fans who genuinely believed we’d have enough to survive, yet a 1-0 victory over an in-form Watford side and the mood has clearly changed.
Here’s the results of this intriguing poll on Twitter, with 75% voting ‘YES (we’ll stay up)’ and just 25% saying ‘NO (we’ll go down)’:
After Saturday's 1-0 win over Watford, do you now believe #NUFC will stay up this season?

This perhaps just shows how much one game can change things.
If we’d lost against Watford, I honestly believe we’d be seeing at LEAST 75% saying that we’d go down – yet a win last weekend and 450 of the 600 NUFC fans taking part in this poll are saying the exact opposite.
I think they also watched the Huddersfield vs Fulham match and spotted two teams who can go down with Cardiff
