Chelsea outcast now available for £12m in January – Could NUFC make a move?

According to an exclusive in the Sun, Chelsea have now set a £12m asking price for Victor Moses – a potential bargain Benitez may look at in January?

Having played 78 games for Chelsea over the past two seasons, and a regular in their title winning season, he has found himself out of the picture under Maurizzio Sarri.

He was played as a right wing-back under Antonio Conte, but originally started out as a winger – meaning he would certainly fit into our side given he could operate in a 4-2-3-1 system (as a winger) or a 5-2-3 system (as a wing-back).

At 27 he is still a good age with plenty to offer. He’s fast, direct AND most importantly hard working, which is the type of player Rafa loves.

All of this is hypothetical as we haven’t actually been credited with any interest as yet, but £12m asking price for a Premier League winner who could yet to hit his prime would be a steal.

We are unlikely to spend big in the next window because of all the takeover talk (and the fact Ashley never seems to spend big!), but this is the sort of figure Ashley has been happy to spend in the past.

Rafa has links to Chelsea which could also work in our favour, with Palace and Fulham also thought to be interested.

What do you reckon folks – is he worth a look at £12m?

  1. I can’t believe he’s still only 27?! Seems to have been round for ages.

I would take Moses in a heartbeat, and £12m is a steal!!
