Rafa Benitez makes move to sign Lyon forward on loan – Report

According to L’Equipe, Rafa Benitez has approached Lyon over a deal to sign versatile forward Martin Terrin – however our attempt to sign him on a six-month loan deal has been rejected..for now.

The French outlet claim Lyon are keen to keep him at present, but suggest their stance could change later in the window – with them having several options to choose from in his position.

Terrier, 21, can play as a central striker or out wide and has scored 4 goals in 21 appearances for the Ligue 1 giants this season.

L’Equpe claim that Benitez is ‘convinced by the potential of the France under-21 international’ and enquired about a potential permanent deal, only to find Lyon had absolutely no intent on selling the player.

Regarding a loan move, it seems Lyon yet change their mind, meaning this could be a deal we revisit later in the window if these reports are true.
