Watford fan reveals what left him ‘gobsmacked’ after after travelling to St James’ Park yesterday..

Watford fan @HornetShane has admitted that he was ‘gobsmacked’ to see Rafa leave out Rondon and Perez yesterday – with him left feeling Ant and Dec would’ve been more use in attack than Joselu and Kenedy!

Here’s what he’s had to say – giving a frank but fair assessment of what he saw from up in the gods at St James’ Park:

I will be brutally honest, when i arrived in the away end, our lot weren’t that confident. Lots were saying they’d take a replay. I did think we’d have enough to win but didn’t think it would be an easy game..

“You’d have been more potent if you’d had Ant and Dec up top… with Cheryl on the wing! So poor from you lads.

“Kenedy is suspect. He was with us for a couple of months on loan from Chelsea but left due to poor attitude. It looks like he’s having a similar spell now!

“Joselu is absolutely ******. Gobsmacked that Rondon or Perez didn’t start both have scored against us this season. Poor from Rafa in my opinion.

“I thought your keeper Woodman and Longstaff were your best players on a poor afternoon. Fernandez was decent at the back as well.

“Woodman save to stop Quina’s 1st half shot was crucial to the scoreline for me. We could have really put you to the sword if we had scored early on..

“Ultimately, we’re through in a game that was far from a classic!

“Best of luck for the rest of the season. I genuinely hope you guys stay up – class fans who are always incredibly friendly and knowledgeable despite everything happening in the boardroom!”

A very fair assessment from Shane, with a classy message at the end too.

I’m sure most Newcastle fans will echo his thoughts – with Joselu and Kenedy clearly leaving Watford fans just as unimpressed as us after their truly pitiful performances in attack.

Interesting that he was so shocked that Rondon and Perez didn’t start on a day where Watford made 11 changes.

That said, many will argue that the result could have been very different had those two started instead of Josely and Kenedy..

  1. Sadly, nobody knows whats going on any more.
Rafa is now non-commital and Cashley never has been.
    Our club is a mess.
