Jacob Murphy loan move all but confirmed – & it looks like this is his replacement..

John Percy – a Midlands reporter for the Telegraph – has confirmed West Brom now look set to sign Jacob Murphy – and it seems his replacement could well be Belgian winger Anthony Limbombe.

Just as Percy revealed that West Brom had all but won the race to sign the winger on loan, it’s been reported that we are now in ‘advanced talks’ to sign Nantes winger Anthony Limbombe – the Belgian winger Benitez was linked with on several occasions over the summer.

Considering Rafa insisted that Murphy would only go out on loan if a replacement was signed, this combination of news doesn’t seem like a coincidence.

Here’s an update from the Telegraph reporter – which comes just minutes after claims that we’re in talks to sign what could well be his replacement:

Limbombe is far from proven, with him failing to make a huge impact in France after shining in Belgium with Club Brugge, but this could be a wise move and one that suits all parties.

Murphy is in DESPERATE need of game and a positive spell with West Brom could boost his worryingly low confidence levels – with it looking as though they’ve now beaten Middlesbrough and Norwich to sign him until the end of the season.

Lee Ryder could come out any second and deny talk of Limbombe’s arrival, but, either way, it sounds like we have a winger lined up if West Brom are indeed set to sign Murphy.
