NUFC star sends message to Mike Ashley when asked about the Salomon Rondon situation

Ayoze Perez has urged the club to sign Salomon Rondon permanently this summer, saying he is a ‘great player’ who ‘makes the players around him even better’.

Whilst there’s so many positives emerging out of Newcastle United right now, seeing Almiron, Perez and Rondon linking up so well is threatening to be bittersweet if we don’t make the latter’s loan deal a permanent one this summer.

Here’s what Ayoze has had to say about the Venezuelan today, with him hoping to see the club extend his stay with just two months of his loan move left to run as things stand:

“I would like him to stay, definitely.

“He is a great player and makes the players around him even better.

“He is doing a great job and scoring a lot of goals.

” Salomon helps us a lot. I want him to stay but it is something to think about at the end of the season.

“In terms of what is going on now, we have to keep going in the same direction, Salomon scoring goals and me trying to assist or score.

“We are trying to link up as much as we could with Almiron, Salomon and me.”

With Perez, Rondon and Almiron immediately linking up well and appearing to compliment each other brilliantly from what we’ve seen over the past few days, it really is another key reason to keep the big striker at the club.

It’s clear that keeping him at the club will be vital as far as keeping Rafa at the club is concerned – failure to sign him would show that Ashley is not willing to change and give Benitez control over transfers – but this is just one of the reasons why it’s so important he stays.

He’s key to how we play – both on and off the ball – and seems a great character both on and off the pitch too, with it being reported recently that Miguel Almiron has already struck up a close friendship with him.

He wants to stay, we want him to stay and Benitez may just stay if Ashley sanctions this sort of deal over the summer.

Do the right thing, Mike!
