Demba Ba responds to NUFC fan on Twitter – & you’ll both love & hate what he’s had to say..

Demba Ba has admitted that he wished he stayed at the club for another few years, stating that he ‘still is and always will be’ a Newcastle United fan.

This comes from his exchange with a Newcastle fan on Twitter after he was pictured meeting a Mag in Malaga airport just a few days ago.

One fan responded to the post below saying ‘I wish he had stayed for five years’ – to which he responded, ‘I do too’:

When reminiscing on his form at St James’ Park, I maintain that the Senegalese striker is the best goalscorer we’ve had since Shearer. He scored all sorts of goals, whether it be one on one’s, poachers finishes inside the six-yard box, volleys, free kicks or penalties, bagging an impressive 29 times in 58 games for the club.

Many feel he left for money and left himself down as a result, but when a move to a top four club comes up and big money is on the table, can we actually blame him? After all, his knee issues meant his career may not have lasted as long as it has, so I think he was entitled to do the best he could for both himself and his family.

Either way, I look back on Demba’s time on Tyneside with real fond memories – even if it’s easy to wonder what could’ve been if he had stuck around a little longer.
