Representatives of NUFC star now discussing summer exit – Bad news for Rafa Benitez

According to the Chronicle, Newcastle could be set to lose Ayoze Perez this summer, with his representatives now exploring a potential move away after receiving interest from several Champions League sides.

It was reported yesterday that Serie A giants Napoli and Inter Milan were preparing bids for the Spaniard, with several La Liga sides tracking the 25-year-old for some time now.

It’s claimed today that Perez believes he’s good enough to play on the biggest stage, and it looks like he’s seriously considering moving on this summer in search of Champions League football.

He’s had his critics, but now there can be no denying just how vital he is to this Newcastle United side, with set to be our top scorer two seasons running (getting into double figures in each), bagging big goals at crucial times and fitting into Rafa Benitez’s system superbly after a move from a ‘number 10’ to the right-side of a front three.

It would be a shame to lose him, meaning the ‘Three Amigos’ up top would be broken up before they’d even got going, however it feels more and more like he’ll move on this summer.

f we receive huge money and Rafa is allowed to spend it then it could yet work for the club, but with Rondon’s loan ending, Hayden wanting to leave and Shelvey likely to be cashed in on, there’s only so many key senior players we can afford to lose.
