Tottenham now ‘interested’ in signing NUFC star – West Ham & Crystal Palace also keen – Report

According to the Chronicle, Tottenham are one of several Premier League clubs who’ve shown interest in signing Isaac Hayden this summer.

The report, which looks at several players who could leave the club over the coming months, also highlights West Ham and Crystal Palace as two other top flight sides interested in signing the want-away midfielder.

Hayden has been one of our top performers in 2019, but it seems he’s still adamant on moving for family reasons, with him keen to move closer to his fiancee and young daughter down South.

The Chronicle state that the club will demand around £15-£20m for Hayden this summer, showing just how his performances since over the second half of the season have significantly increased his asking price – and rightly so.

After all, he’s young (24), a tough tackler, capable on the ball, has a brilliant attitude and superb work rate, so what’s not to like?

Mark Douglas’ piece says that Rafa Benitez hasn’t given up hope of keeping Hayden at the club, with him ready to offer him a ‘central role’ moving forward – also believing an England call-up is on its way he remained on Tyneside.

Time will tell, but at least we look set to receive a respectable fee for the midfielder should the worst happen this summer.
