Ex-NUFC striker launches brutal attack on Mike Ashley – & he’***** the nail on the head

Ex-Newcastle United striker Mick Quinn has slated the club and Mike Ashley following our disastrous summer so far.

As he points out in the brutal but bang on tweet below, we are only 39 days away from the new season yet have no Rafa, no new manager, no takeover update, no new signings, no Perez – stating ‘Cashley’ will be ‘£30m better off’ as a result.

Yet, in all of this, the club will be asking us to spend hundreds (and thousands for some!) to renew our season tickets:

Unfortunately, he’***** the nail on the head – especially with the last line. The club are selling our replica kit at £65, the most expensive in the league, and Ashley has raised season ticket prices….all for what? Oh, and this is all missing the fact our player of the season and best striker is now gone.

The fans have no reason to sign up and continue lining Ashley’s pockets, but just imagine how poor the players motivation levels are too. They must be wondering where on earth the club are going right now, so you couldn’t blame a single one of them for having second thoughts about staying should an offer come their way.

What a mess.

  1. I have said it once and I’ll say it again, the best way to get rid of Ashley is to get relegated and do a Leeds for example. Ashley had paid his loan back with interest.

  2. I’m not sure why he’s addressing the Newcastle fans with this – we hardly need reminding!!!.

Frightening just how much needs doing in the next 5 weeks.

Can’t see Ashley rushing this takeover, or setting a deadline. The longer it rumbles on the more he’ll use it as an excuse.

Anyone who does renew their season ticket or dare I say takes a season ticket for the first time – they need their heads looking at!!.

  3. In light of what’s gone on the players’ motivation must be rock bottom. Expect more departures and bear in mind that Martinez has one of the worst premier league defensive records, going back to his Everton days. Contrast that with us under Rafa! Happy days…..

  4. MA not agree what Benitez want because takeover are on the way (I really, really hope). MA give 2 weeks to anyone to takeover, why? MA can sell any player without interfere from Benitez and MA will walk away from Newcastle with £350m club sell, more than £100m on player sell and season tickets…

  5. Quinn may have been a quality player but his opinions are sh!te.
He’s just playing on his name.

No Rafa – he went on to pastures new for 12 million a year
No New Manager – FFS do you expect a new manager to be in in 4 days?
No Takeover atm – Quinn has no idea what stage the talks are at
No New Players – we’re never quick out the gates
No Pérez (Cashley 30mill better off) – or – 30 mil into the transfer kitty
And only 39 days till the new Season kicks off – nothing Ashley can do about that.

Whats the panic. This is just another summer for Toon fans
